Procedure 301. Painting, 2025 — ongoing. Acrylic on canvas (early works in oil). Main formats: 150×150, 150×120, 120×150 cm.
The composition is settled before the canvas: selected from an archive of small watercolours and gouaches, projected, drawn in charcoal. I come to the canvas when there is nothing left to decide.
One rule: a form can be covered by another form, but it cannot be reopened. There is no undo. A covered mark does not disappear — the movement of the brush stays in the surface.
A painting can be repulsive. It cannot be overworked.
No titles, only a number: the year and the position in the procedure. The count opens at three hundred, in the middle of a practice, and runs without gaps. No end is set.
